Sexual safety and condoms

In FFM, MMF, groups and swinging, partners change more often. Use a new condom for every person and every penetration, and agree limits before any touch.

Condoms in threesomes and group sex

A couple may use one condom per penetration. In FFM, MMF and groups the partner often changes, so the rule is: a new condom for every person, every penetration, and every orifice.

Do not wash, flip or share a condom. If it slips or breaks: stop, remove it, wash gently, then a new condom or end the scene.

Never go from anal to vaginal or oral with the same condom. This is a common cause of infections after threesomes.

Why FFM, MMF and groups need more care

In FFM a penis may move from one woman to another within minutes. Each switch without a new condom shares fluids across three bodies.

In MMF there are two penises. If they do not each have their own condom, risk rises.

In a group (3 and 3, or 5 and 5) extra people add extra transmission paths. Split into pairs and triads. Do not stack ten bodies together.

Before you meet

Say what is allowed, what is not, whether penetration or oral is on the table, and one stop word everyone knows.

Recent testing helps (HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, hepatitis as a clinician advises). Testing is not immunity, so keep using condoms.

Put latex or non-latex condoms, water-based lube, tissues, water and a bin where everyone can see them — especially for swinging and groups.

During sex

Put the condom on before any penetration, pinch the tip, roll it down, and hold the base when withdrawing.

Oil-based lube breaks latex. Use water-based or a lube the condom brand allows.

Heavy alcohol or drugs weaken consent and condom attention. If someone cannot clearly say no, stop.

For oral sex use a condom or dam. For toys, add a condom or wash and disinfect before they touch another person.

Afterwards

If a condom broke: wash, then seek clinical advice about testing or post-exposure options. This site does not prescribe medicine.

Watch for unusual pain, itch or discharge. Testing is better than waiting.

After FFM, MMF or a group, a simple “are you okay?” is part of sexual safety.
